SEPTEMBER
Begin listening and deciding on music to play. This is also a great time to contact a private teacher to start taking lessons!
OCTOBER
Practice, Practice, Practice! You can still contact a private teacher to help!
NOVEMBER
Contact your piano accompanist, send them music, confirm rehearsal and performance dates. You can still contact a private teacher to help!
DECEMBER
Practice and more practice. This would be the last minute to get a private teacher to help
JANUARY
Set up rehearsals with your accompanist for the 2nd half of January. If you are getting a private teacher, make sure it's at the beginning of the month.
FEBRUARY
PERFORM AT DISTRICTS.
MARCH
Set up rehearsals with your accompanist for States (if you are going)
LATE MARCH, EARLY APRIL
